The 'Google Map - Widget' WordPress plugin allows adding a Google Map to the sidebar, but unlike the plethora of similar plugins, it comes with real in-depth settings to customize the map display and style more than any other.

After all the settings have been entered, the plugin will show a map in the sidebar, which when clicked will expand into a lightbox modal, showing the same map at a higher resolution.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
